VRZSH ("VRZSH", "we", "us", "our") is a fitness and territory-tracking mobile app (app identifier: mirl.fitness.vrzsh). When you walk, jog or cycle, VRZSH records your route and turns it into a territory on a map, which you can defend, lose, or expand against other users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using VRZSH, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who We Are
VRZSH is operated by its founders and owners, based in Lahore, Pakistan ("the Owners").

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name or username, email address, and authentication details. Passwords (if used) are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider.
- Profile information: profile photo, display name, territory colour, and any bio or details you choose to add.
- University verification: if you choose to join the inter-university competition, you may sign in with a university email address. This is used only to verify your affiliation and is not required for the main app.
- Health and activity inputs: daily hydration logs, challenge settings, and other details you enter.
- Social content: Social Wall posts, buddy requests, comments, and messages or interactions with other users.
- Support and feedback: anything you send to us when you contact us.
- Business and waitlist forms: if you submit a sponsor-hotspot partner application or an iOS waitlist form on our website, we collect the details you enter (such as name, business name, email, phone number, and message).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Precise location data (GPS): while you record a workout, we collect your location, including your route, distance, speed, and timestamps. This is the core function of the app. If you grant background location permission, location may be collected while the app is not on screen during an active workout.
- Activity and performance data: run history, distance, duration, calories (estimated), area covered, territories claimed, lost and defended, challenge progress, and leaderboard standings.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, IP address, crash logs, and diagnostic information.
- Usage and analytics data: screens viewed, features used, taps and events, and session information, collected through product analytics tools.
- Notification data: push notification tokens, so we can send you alerts (for example, when a territory is challenged or a buddy joins).
2.3 Information from third parties
- If you sign in through a third-party provider (for example Google or Apple), we receive basic profile information that you authorise that provider to share.
2.4 Sensitive information
Location data and fitness and wellness data (such as hydration, calories and workout history) can be sensitive. We collect them only to provide the app's features. We do not knowingly collect government ID numbers, payment card numbers (which are handled by payment providers), or information about your health conditions, religion, or political views.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate and maintain the app, including recording workouts, creating territories, resolving territory contests, and showing maps, leaderboards and challenges.
- Create and manage your account, and verify university affiliation for the inter-university competition.
- Enable social features such as buddies, the Social Wall, notifications, and territory visibility settings.
- Process subscriptions, rewards, coupons and merchandise redemption, where available.
- Send transactional emails and notifications (for example sign-up confirmations, security notices, and account messages).
- Analyse usage, fix bugs, monitor performance, and improve the app.
- Detect, prevent and investigate cheating (such as GPS spoofing or runs recorded from a vehicle, which are discarded), fraud, abuse, and security incidents, including by analysing speed and route patterns.
- Operate sponsored or branded territories and aggregated footfall reporting for business partners (see Section 5).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Respond to your support requests and website submissions.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (where applicable)
Where laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply to you, we rely on: (a) performance of a contract (providing the app you signed up for); (b) consent (for example, location permissions, push notifications, and optional features, which you can withdraw at any time); (c) legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics and improving the app, balanced against your rights); and (d) legal obligation.
6. International Data Transfers
VRZSH is operated from Pakistan and our backend is hosted in India. Our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. By using VRZSH, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required, we take steps to protect your information in line with applicable law, such as contractual safeguards.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the app. After you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data as described in Section 9, except where we must keep limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis and may keep deleted data for a limited period (up to 30 days) before being permanently removed. Aggregated or anonymised data that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.
Website form submissions (partner applications and waitlist entries) are kept until the purpose is fulfilled or you ask us to delete them.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your information (see Section 9);
- Withdraw consent at any time (for example, turn off location, notifications or analytics where offered), without affecting processing already done;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Data portability (receive your data in a commonly used format);
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your country.
You can manage many of these choices in the app (profile, privacy settings, notification settings) and in your device settings (location, notifications). To make a request that you cannot complete in the app, email privacy@vrzsh.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time, and within the period required by applicable law.
Note: Turning off location access will stop workout tracking and territory features from working.
9. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time directly inside the app:
Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account
When you confirm deletion:
- Your account, profile, and login credentials are deleted.
- Your workout history, route data, hydration logs, buddies, Social Wall posts and personal settings are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
- Your territories are removed from the map and become available to other users.
- Any active subscription is not automatically cancelled by deleting your account if it was purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. You must cancel it through your store account to stop future billing.
- Unredeemed rewards, coupons, points and standings are forfeited and cannot be restored.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
We aim to complete deletion within 30 days. Some information may remain for a limited time in backups, or where we are legally required to retain it (for example, transaction records or records needed to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud). If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion by emailing privacy@vrzsh.com from your registered email address, or by visiting https://privacy.vrzsh.com/delete-account/.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted administrative access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login details and device secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
11. Children's Privacy
VRZSH is not intended for children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@vrzsh.com and we will delete it. If you are under 18, you should use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
12. Location, Safety and Physical Activity
VRZSH involves physical activity and outdoor movement. Please be aware of your surroundings, follow traffic and local laws, respect private property and restricted areas, and do not use the app in a way that puts you or others at risk. Consult a qualified medical professional before starting any exercise programme. Features such as calorie estimates, hydration tracking and challenges are for general information and motivation only, and are not medical advice.
13. Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability and No Compensation
This section applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Please read it carefully.
13.1 "As is" service. VRZSH, the website and all related services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted or error-free operation, security, and non-infringement.
13.2 Use at your own risk and assumption of risk. You use VRZSH voluntarily and entirely at your own risk. You acknowledge that outdoor physical activity, travel and the use of a mobile device while moving carry inherent risks, including injury, illness, accident, theft, assault, traffic incidents, animal encounters, weather exposure and death, and you knowingly and voluntarily accept all such risks. You are solely responsible for your safety, your health, your decisions, and your conduct.
13.3 No liability for harm, loss or unforeseen consequences. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Owners and their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and service providers (together, the "Released Parties") are not liable or responsible for any harm, loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive, and whether foreseen, foreseeable, unforeseen or unforeseeable, arising out of or in any way connected with VRZSH or this Policy, regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort including negligence, strict liability, statute or otherwise), and even if we were advised of the possibility of such harm. This includes, without limitation:
- personal injury, illness, accident, death, or damage to property during or in connection with use of the app;
- loss, theft, corruption, unauthorised access to, or disclosure of data, including through hacking, malware, security breaches, insider misuse, or the acts or failures of third parties, despite our reasonable security measures;
- inaccurate or missing GPS, route, distance, speed, calorie, hydration or territory data;
- the acts, omissions, content or conduct of other users, including harassment, stalking, impersonation, doxxing or the misuse of information you choose to make visible;
- loss or change of territories, rankings, points, rewards, coupons, merchandise, or progress;
- service interruptions, errors, bugs, delays, downtime, data loss, or the modification or discontinuation of any feature or the whole service;
- the products, services, offers, conduct, privacy practices or security of sponsors, merchants, suppliers, partners and other third parties;
- account suspension, restriction, removal, or termination, including actions taken under our anti-cheat and abuse rules;
- loss of profits, revenue, income, savings, business, goodwill, opportunities or anticipated benefits.
13.4 No monetary reimbursement. You agree that you are not entitled to any refund, reimbursement, compensation, damages or other monetary payment from the Released Parties for any harm or loss described in this Policy, or for any other reason connected with your use of VRZSH, except where such a payment is required by a law that cannot be waived or by the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play (which govern refunds on purchases made through them and are handled by those stores). Free features, unredeemed rewards, points and virtual items have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
13.5 Cap on liability. If, despite the above, any liability is found to exist and cannot be fully excluded, your sole and exclusive remedy, and our total aggregate liability for all claims combined, will not exceed PKR 5,000 (or the equivalent in your currency).
13.6 Release and waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily and irrevocably release, waive and discharge the Released Parties from all claims, demands, actions and liabilities, known or unknown, arising from your use of VRZSH. Where your local law prevents a general release of unknown claims, this release applies to the maximum extent allowed.
13.7 Indemnity. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use or misuse of the app; your content; your breach of this Policy, our Terms or any law; cheating, spoofing or fraud; or your violation of any person's rights.
13.8 Anti-cheat and fair play. We may detect and discard activity that appears cheating-related, such as GPS spoofing, emulators, or runs recorded from a vehicle. Discarded activity does not count toward territories, challenges, rankings or rewards. We use automated checks that may occasionally be imperfect. Our decisions on fair play are final, and no compensation is owed for activity that is discarded or accounts that are restricted for suspected cheating or abuse.
13.9 Rewards, coupons and sponsors. Sponsor rewards and coupons are offered by or on behalf of third-party partners. Some coupon codes are supplied directly by the partner and their expiry dates, terms, availability and validity are controlled by the partner and may change. You should redeem before the expiry date shown. Supplier-provided coupons are not refunded or replaced after expiry, change, redemption disputes or non-acceptance by the partner. We are not responsible for the quality, delivery, safety or acceptance of any third-party offer, and any dispute is between you and that partner.
13.10 Force majeure and third-party failures. The Released Parties are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of cloud, network, mapping, app store or other third-party services, power or internet failures, cyber-attacks, natural disasters, war, pandemics, or government action.
13.11 Legal limits and severability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct, or non-waivable consumer rights). In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and nothing in this Policy affects rights you cannot lawfully waive. If any part of this section is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remainder will stay in full effect. These terms survive deletion of your account and termination of your use of VRZSH.
13.12 Acknowledgement. By using VRZSH, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this section, including the limits on liability, the release, and the no-reimbursement terms.
15. Third-Party Links and Services
The app and website may link to third-party sites or services (including sponsors, merchants and social platforms). We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app, by email, or by posting the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your own country, any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.
